Who We Are

A. Gopinath

Founder of Kumbakonam Heritage

Kumbakonam A. Gopinath, a Software Test Engineer with over 9 years of experience at a leading IT company, holds a B.Tech degree in Information Technology. Fueled by a lifelong passion for history and archaeology, he pursued a diploma in Epigraphy & Archaeology from the International Institute of Tamil Studies (IITS) and has actively participated in heritage exploration through travels with various groups.

Drawing upon his extensive experience, Kumbakonam A. Gopinath founded the Kumbakonam Regional Historical Research Society (KRHRS) in Kumbakonam. The research he conducted during his diploma provided him with a wealth of material for his first book, ‘Varalaru Kurum Thirunalla Koorur.’ Gopinath has also shared his knowledge through lectures on various history and archaeology topics at numerous schools and colleges. His dedicated efforts have led to the discovery of 2 inscriptions and 1 stone statue.
